Information on the HOLLOWAY family has been compiled in 1991
by Doris (Holloway) Sleath in Descendants of John and Mary
(Pharo) Holloway from New Jersey to California 1704-1991.

James PHARO - b. about 1650, Great Drayton, Nottinghamshire,
England; bur. Mar. 31, 1688/9, Nottingham Township, Burlington
Co., NJ. His will,
dated May 30, 1688 and proved Nov. 4 1690, names wife Anne and
their four children. James, his wife Anne, and their first three
children sailed from Lincolnshire, England aboard the 'Shield'
of Stockton for America Feb. 10, 1678/9. The dates for the birth
of his children are found in the Friends Records of Chesterfield
Monthly Meeting. Married on Dec. 13, 1673 at Bawtry, Nottinghamshire,
England.
Anne MURFIN - b. about 1657, Nottinghamshire, England.
Sister of Robert MURPHIN of Hains Greane, Nottinghamshire, England,
and Burlington Co., NJ, who was a witness to her husband's will,
inventoried the estate, and was bondsman for Anne as widow and
executrix.

- Jarvis - b. Sep. 1, 1675, Haines Greene, Nottinghamshire,
England; d. by 1757. Married Apr. 14, 1701 (14 day 1 month) at
Hempstead, Long Island, NY to Elizabeth WILLITS (1681-1769),
daughter of Hope and Mercy (LANGDON) WILLITS. Son: James married
Ruth SMITH.
- Amos - b. Jan. 12, 1677/8.
- Ann - b. Apr. 21, 1678, Medlam, Lincolnshire, England; d.
before Nov. 1712, Burlington Co., NJ. Married Nov. 6, 1699 to
Thomas RIDGWAY (b. Jul. 25, 1677, England; d. Aug. 24, 1724,
Burlington Co., NJ), son of Richard RIDGWAY and Elizabeth CHAMBERLAIN.
His will was proved Jan. 15, 1724/5. The RIDGWAY family resided
at Little Egg Harbor Township, near Tuckerton, Burlington Co.,
NJ. Thomas was married second on Nov. 6, 1712 to Elizabeth ANDREWS,
daughter of Edward ANDREWS and Sarah ONG. By his second marriage
he had sons Edward and Richard. Sons of Ann and Thomas: Thomas;
and John married first Phoebe TITUS, and second Phoebe BALLANGEE.

Nottingham, West Jersey; d. Dec. 12, 1749, Burlington Co., NJ.
Married John HOLLOWAY.
- James - b. Aug. 31, 1685, Burlington Co., NJ; d. Mar. 1760,
Burlington Co., NJ. His will was dated Nov. 17, 1757, and proved
Mar. 28, 1760, with the inventory of his estate being dated Mar.
25, 1760. The will provides the names of three of his HOLLOWAY
nephews (called "cousins"), his niece Avis (HOLLOWAY)
SCHOLY, and 10 grand nephews and nieces. James cared for nephew
George HOLLOWAY after the death of George's father. James married
Rebecca, named executrix of his estate.
