The Hyde Brothers
The principal information sources for the HYDE family are
"Four Generations of Descendants of Samuel Hyde of Newton,
Mass.," by Hon. William Henry Harrison Stowell (NEHGR, Apr.
1917, pages 144ff) and A Partial Record of One Branch of The
Hyde Family, privately published by Rufus S. Warner (1878)
and reprinted by The Tuttle Compnay (1931, Rutland, VT). Documentary
evidence of the parents of brothers Samuel HYDE and Jonathan
HYDE is desired. A number of compilations have been reviewed
which show them as sons of Robert HYDE and Alice CROMPTON, grandsons
of William HYDE and Eleanor MOLINEUX, and great grandsons of
Robert HYDE and Annie ARDERNE - with multiple connections to
Royalty. However, the earlier ancestry differs, and substantive
documentation has not been found for the ancestry, nor for the
connection between the immigrants to America and their parents
in England.
