2129. Edward Mason Mowton (Mabel White Mason8, David Haven7, John6, Thaddeus5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, Joseph2, Hugh1). Born New York City, on 10 Jul 1897. Residence: 1933, Yonkers, N. Y. Data from Mason.

Mr. Mowton entered Stevens Institute of Technology September 1915, but left to enlist in the U. S. Naval Reserve, April 14, 1917, and served throughout the World War. For a time he was instructor at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Radio School, and June 4, 1917, he was assigned to the U. S. S. Wyoming at Hampton Roads, Va., and July 10, 1917, was assigned, by request, to the destroyer Monoghan for active duty, on which he served as electrician and radio operator for the remainder of the War. He was released from active duty June 1919, with rank of Chief Electrician. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, 1922, M.E. At present he is assistant engineer with the New York Telephone Company at Brooklyn, N. Y.

He married Carrie Blauvelt Austin, daughter of Lewis Barker Austin & Lela Vultee Grant, on 5 Jun 1926 in Yonkers, N. Y. Born New York City, on 28 Jan 1897. Data from Mason.
