Dr. Ayer was educated at Roxbury Latin School, graduated Harvard University, 1903, A.B., 1907, M.D. He is a member of the American Neurological Association, Boston Society of Psychiatry and Neurology, Massachusetts State Medical Society, American Association of Pathologists and Bacteriologists, Association for Research in Nervous and Mental Diseases. Author of various articles, chiefly in connection with the cerebro-spinal fluid, in medical journals. Instructor, Neuropath. Harvard Medical School, Asst. Prof. Clinical Neurology, on staff of Massachusetts General Hospital, Eye and Ear Infirmary and Deaconess Hospital. During the World War, Capt. M. C., U. S. A. He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Colonial Wars by right of descent through Capt. Hugh Mason.
