She married Maj. Hugh P. Avent, son of Dr. Benjamins McCam Avent & Rosalee Hendrix, on 15 Dec 1920 in Louisville, Ky. Born Rogers, Tex., on 3 Nov 1890. Data from Mason.

Major Avent graduated U. S. Military Academy, West Point, N. Y., 1915, and at the time of his retirement for physical disability was a major in the regular army.

She married Capt. Horace Harding, son of Gen. Chester Harding & Flora Krum, on 17 Jun 1922. Born Washington, D. C., in 1896. Data from Mason.

Gen. Harding was stationed on the Canal Zone during the building of the Panama Canal, afterwards being appointed military governor.
Capt. Harding is a nephew of the late President Warren G. Harding.

SML Comment: The claim that Capt. Harding was a nephew of Pres. Harding is in doubt, as available sources do not give Gen. Chester Harding (b. 1866, Enterprise, Miss.) as a brother of the President (b. 1865, Morrow Co., Ohio).

Lieut. Lewis graduated U. S. Military Academy, West Point, N. Y., 1918, his class being graduated after being at the Academy only two years on account of the World War.
