Mr. Mason graduated Harvard College, A.B., 1869, A.M., 1872. He studied law in the office of his father, Hon. David H. Mason, was a member of the Suffolk Bar and was admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts, associate justice of the District Court of Newton, district attorney of Massachusetts, one of the founders of the Newton Trust Company, and president of the Massachusetts Homeopathic Memorial Hospital.

He married Lelia Sylvina Nickerson, on 1 Feb 1877 in Newton Centre, Mass. Born Boston, Mass., on 7 Sep 1850. Died Boston, Mass., on 20 Mar 1932. Residence: Newton and Boston, Mass. Data from Mason.

Mrs. Mowton attended Newton High School and completed her education in music and languages in Europe.

She married Edward Pearsall Mowton, son of Charles Carroll Mowton & Adele Elizabeth Beck, on 14 Sep 1896 in Newton, Mass. Born New York City, on 15 Nov 1863. Died Yonkers, N. Y., on 20 Dec 1931. Data from Mason.

Mr. Mowton graduated Stevens Institute of Technology, M.E., 1886, New York Law School, 1893, and admitted to New York Bar, 1893. He was attorney for The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York, 1895 to 1931, inclusive, and chairman of the Advisory Board of the Yonkers General Hospital. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve when it was organized in 1891, and remained till the termination of the Spanish War, having been commissioned Ensign.
