Elijah B. Mason was a farmer and at the time of his death he was the last member of those hardy yeomen of the 19th century who drew cordwood with the ox team into Keene, N. H., waring the blue frock and cowhide boots.

He married Relief Savina Horton, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Horton & Mary P. Withington, on 20 Jun 1865. Born Surry, N. H., on 9 Sep 1842. Died Surry, N. H., on 6 Jun 1914. Data from Mason.

Christopher A. Mason acquired a practical education in Surry, in 1852 he moved to Keene, and in 1864 to Hinsdale, N. H. He was a successful farmer, lumberman and road builder.

He first married Mary Lavina Nash, daughter of David Nash & Abigail Howard, on 8 Sep 1859 in Keene, N. H. Born Alstead, N. H., on 23 Apr 1842. Died Keene, N. H., on 13 Nov 1863. Data from Mason.

Columbus A. Mason followed teaming, wood and lumber business for several years, then four years in the brick business, later superintendent of cemeteries in Keene, in politics a Republican.

He first married Abigail Melissa Nash, daughter of David Nash & Abigail Howard, on 12 Apr 1855 in Keene, N. H. Born Winchester or Marlow, N. H., on 30 Jan 1832. Died Keene, N. H., on 17 Feb 1859. Data from Mason.
