Marriage date to John Hoar according to the private record of Rev. Elijah Willard of Pottersville, N. H., who married her, and which corrects the date of November 22, given by other authorities. The date of her marriage to Thomas Thompson here given is that upon the Sullivan Church records, and is probably correct. January 31, in the first Dublin town history, and February 27, in the Sullivan town records, are both incorrect.

She first married John Hoar, on 26 Dec 1807. Born on 7 Apr 1784. Died Dublin, N. H., on 13 Feb 1813. Data from Mason.

Capt. Mason purchased the farm of his father, giving the latter the customary bond for maintenance, in 1814. He was active in town affairs, serving as hogreeve 1816, highway surveyor 1816, 1824, 1836, school tax collector 1816, 1824, selectman 1817, 1818, 1829, grand jury 1817, 1820, appointed ensign in the state militia, June 6, 1817, lieutenant 1819, captain 1822, school superintendent 1821, moderator 1821, petit jury 1825, 1828, 1830, 1833, 1836, 1841, 1850, congressman 1831, superintendent Sunday School Association 1839, representative 1840, 1841. Died while on a visit with his children.

He first married Prudence Woods, daughter of Enoch Woods & Abigail Butterfield, on 1 Jun 1815 in Sullivan, N. H. Married by Rev. William Muzzy. Born Sullivan, N. H., on 9 May 1793. Died Sullivan, N. H., on 7 Sep 1852. Data from Mason.

James Mason belonged to the Royal Arch Masons and was buried with the Masonic service. He was a schoolmaster.
