"Moses Mason, Watertown, list of six months men raised agreeable to resolve of June 5, 1780, returned as received of Major Joseph Hosmer, Superintendent for Middlesex Co.; by Justin Ely, Commissioner: also descriptive list of men raised to reinforce the Continental Army for the term of six months, agreeable to resolve of June 5, 1780, age 16 years, stature, 5 ft. 9 in. complexion light, engaged for town of Watertown; arrived at Springfield July 5, 1780, under command of Capt. Frothingham, of the artillery; also list of men raised for the six months service and returned by Brig.-General Patterson as having passed muster in a return dated Camp Totoway, October 25, 1780; also pay roll for six months men raised by the town of Watertown for service in the Continental Army during 1780: marched July 4, 1780: discharged December 14, 1780, service 5 months, 22 days, including travel (215 miles) home." He married Lucy Kingsbury, on 9 Oct 1786 in Watertown, Mass. Married by Jonathan Brown, justice of peace. Data from Mason.

i.  Isaac. Born Watertown, Mass., on 5 Sep 1787. Baptized Watertown, Mass., on 6 Mar 1792. Baptized by Rev. Daniel Adams. Died Westbrook, Maine, on 5 Jun 1847. Residence: Westbrook, Maine. Data from Mason. No children.
"Isaac Mason, of Westbrook, Gentleman," is recorded as having purchased land there, 1830, and having sold land there, 1833, 1834, 1838. He bore title of Major as he held a major's commission in the State militia. Selectman 1832, 1833, 1834, 1835, 1836, 1837, 1838, 1839, 1842. He was a tanner. Both he and his wife are buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Portland, and December, 1931, their stones were in excellent condition.

She married James Howland, son of Rev. John Howland & Elizabeth Lewis, on 24 Feb 1795 in Cambridge, Mass. Born Plympton, Mass., on 18 Jul 1760. Died Woodstock, Vt. Buried Woodstock, Vt. Residence: Walpole, N. H. Served in the Revolutionary War. Data from Mason.

James Howland served for thirteen months, was disabled, and for which he was pensioned. He was a farmer and shoemaker and a descendant of John Howland of the Mayflower.
The following inscription is on his gravestone.

A devout Christian and an honest man
