She first married Capt. William Harris, son of Cary Harris & Mehitabel Crowell, on 20 Aug 1767 in Charlestown, Mass. Born on 2 Jul 1744. Died Lancaster, Mass., on 30 Oct 1778. Data from Mason.

175. Martha Mason (Thaddeus4, John3, John2, Hugh1). Born Charlestown, Mass., on 25 Nov 1742. Died on 21 Sep 1770. Data from Mason.

She married Dr. Isaac Foster Jr., son of Isaac Foster & Eleanor Wyer, on 4 Jul 1765 in Charlestown, Mass. Born Charlestown, Mass., on 28 Aug 1740. Died on 27 Feb 1782. Data from Mason.

His will is dated August 1, 1780, and proved April 19, 1782.
Dr. Foster graduated Harvard College, 1758, and began the study of medicine under Dr. Lloyd of Boston, completed his studies in England and achieved considerable reputation in his profession. He was a delegate to the convention in Middlesex County, August 1774, and a member of the first Provincial Congress of Massachusetts, October 1774, appointed surgeon 1775, and for some months was the head of the Military Medical Department, while Gen. Ward held command in Cambridge. After the Battle of Concord he gave up a large practice to attend to the wounded and was appointed by the Committee of Safety to attend the men wounded at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Soon after that he was appointed surgeon of the State Hospital. Gen. Washington, on the discovery of the treachery of Dr. Church, appointed Dr. Foster, in October, director general, pro tem, of the American Hosptial Department. In 1777 the office of deputy director general of hospitals was established and he was chosen by Congress to this office, having charge of the Eastern Department.
