Robert Harrington Jr., was active in town affairs, magistrate, selectman, 1752, holding that office many years, chairman of the Board during the Revolutionary War, and representative to the General Court for four years. He and his wife were admitted to the Church at Lexington, August 11, 1745.

Moses Mason settled at Newton and about 1757 moved to Sherborn, Mass., July 27, 1767, he sold his land there and went to Dublin, N. H., settling on Lot 10, Range 1.
The following refers to Moses Mason and was sent me by his great-great-grandson, Mr. Solon McNab of Indianapolis, Ind. "I wonder if you are aware that Grandfather's grandfather was born under an oak tree. An Indian scare had stated the Masons and their nieghbors scurrying to the nearest blockhouse, just as the moment arrived for Great-great-grandmother to add another to her family. Having accomplished this with the promptitude demanded by such unusual circumstances, she and her husband remounted their horses and reached the blockhouse in safety, as did also the resumable squaling young heopeful, else I would not be writing these lines, nor would you be reading them."
