15. Joseph Estabrook (Mary Mason2, Hugh1). Born Concord, Mass., on 6 May 1669. Died Lexington, Mass., on 23 Sep 1733. Residence: Lexington, Mass. Data from Mason.

Joseph Estabrook was active in town affairs serving as town clerk, town treasurer, assessor, selectman, surveyor, representative to the General Court, commanded a military company and was engaged to teach the first man's school in Lexington, as he was a man of more than ordinary education for that day. He and his wife united first with the Church at Hingham, from which, in 1710, they were dismissed to the Church in Lexington, where he was an influential member and represented it on many occasions, being chosen deacon in 1716 and holding that office until his death.

He first married Melicent Woodis, daughter of Henry Woodis & Ellen, on 31 Dec 1689 in Concord, Mass. Born Concord, Mass., on 4 Apr 1660. Died Concord, Mass., on 26 Mar 1692. Data from Mason.

16. Benjamin Estabrook (Mary Mason2, Hugh1). Born Concord, Mass., on 24 Feb 1671. Died Lexington, Mass., on 22 Jul 1697. Residence: Lexington, Mass. Data from Mason.

Benjamin Estabrook graduated Harvard College, 1690, began preaching at Lexington, May 1692, ordained first minister of that town October 21, 1696, and was settled over the first Church of Cambridge Farms, now Lexington, November 6, 1696.

He married Abigail Willard, daughter of Rev. Samuel Willard & Abigail Sherman, on 29 Nov 1694. Born Groton, Mass., on 5 Jul 1665. Died on 27 Dec 1745. Data from Mason.

Father was the rector of Old South Church, Boston, Mass. Her mother was his (1) wife.

18. Samuel Estabrook (Mary Mason2, Hugh1). Born Concord, Mass., on 7 Jun 1674. Died on 26 Jun 1727. Buried Canterbury, Conn. Residence: Canterbury, Conn. Data from Mason.

Samuel Estabrook graduated Harvard College, 1696, and taught in the Grammar School, at Concord, 1706 to 1710, at the same time "assisting his father in the work of the ministry." He was ordained June 13, 1711, as first Pastor of the Church of Canterbury, Conn. The following inscription is on his stone, "Ye Reverend and Pious and Learned Mr. Samuel Estabrook, ye 3rd. son of ye Reverend Mr. Joseph Estabrook, late Pastor of ye Church in Concord, who was ye first Pastor of ye Church in Canterbury, who departed this life to ye everlasting mercy of God, June 23, 1727, in the 53rd year of his age."

He married Rebecca Hobart, daughter of Rev. Nehemiah Hobart & Sarah Jackson, on 22 Mar 1714 in Newton, Mass. Born Newton, Mass., on 16 Feb 1680. Died in Dec 1727. Buried Canterbury, Conn. Data from Mason.

The will of Daniel Estabrook is on record in the Probate Office of Middlesex County, Mass.

He married Abigail Flint, daughter of John Flint & Mary Oakes, on 21 Nov 1701 in Concord, Mass. Married by Rev. Mr. Joseph Estabrook. Born Concord, Mass., on 11 Jan 1674. Died Sudbury, Mass., on 23 Nov 1769. Data from Mason.

Inscription on stone: "Here lies the body of Mrs. Anne Haynes, wife of Joshua Haynes, Esq. who died December 29, 1757, in the 80th, year of her age. She was a worthy charitable woman."

She married Capt. Joshua Haynes, son of Josiah Haynes & Elizabeth (Noyes) Freeman. Born Sudbury, Mass., on 17 Sep 1669. Died Sudbury, Mass., on 29 Mar 1757. Buried East Sudbury, Mass. Data from Mason.

Inscription on gravestone: "Here lies buried the Body of ye Worthy Joshua Haynes, Esq. Deceased ye March 29, 1757, in the 88th, year of His Age. He was a Hearty Promoter of the Public Weal, Whose Wonted Humanity, Integrity and Laudable Munificience Embalms His Name. He was Charitable to the Poor, and at His Death Gave Many Gifts to Particular Persons besides 2 Thousand Pounds Old Tenor, for a Publick School and the Poor of the Town of Sudbury."
