That which I have of the geneaalogy of Asa Johnson was, in the main, furnished me by Miss Parmilla A. Johnson of Sherburne, Vt., daughter of John, son of Asa. Her father, John, had quite a complete record of Asa's family, but it was destroyed in a fire.

The descendants of Asa are mostly settled in their native State, substantial, thrifty farming people, a credit to Vermont.
 

SML Comment: Another source has Asa's birth date as 24 Jun 1771 at Winchester, NH, his marriage date as 5 Dec 1797, and adds another daughter Nellie born 27 Dec 1801.
