He was graduated from University of Iowa with degrees in Civil Engineering 1898 & 1909 served with Illinois Central Railway from 1898 to 1947, when he retired. He held positions of responsibility in engineering capacity, being Engineer of Bridges and Building handling Engineering personnel, joint facility matters and construction contracts. He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Engineering Railway Assoc., American Railway & Building Assoc., Western Society of Engineers, Society of Sigma Xi, New England Historical Genealogical Society. Episcopalian. Residence 1907-1948 Chicago. Now lives in Hammond, Louisiana.
