She married John Charles Swan, on 21 Dec 1868. Born Westford, Mass., on 22 Jul 1840. Died Lincoln, Neb., on 9 Dec 1896. Buried Burlington, Vt.

They resided at Salisbury and South Lincoln, Vt. In 1892 was living at 215 St. Paul St., Burlington, Vermont. He was a carpenter. They were separated in 1891, and reunited before he died. He died of paralysis.

1447. Frederick Fayette Johnson (Everett Washburne9, Jonathan8, William7, Elihu6, Richard5, Joseph4, Isaac3, Isaac2, John1). Born Jerico, Vt., on 15 Dec 1849. Died Northfield, Vt., on 21 Mar 1911.

They resided in Northfield, Vt. in 1891. In 1894 he was still in the employ of the Vermont Central Rilroad and was superintendent of water works. He had been with this company over 21 years.

Alternate birth date: March 7, 1853. Resided at Saranac Lake, N.Y. in 1892.

Name also reported as Ed. T. Duse, or Edward J. Dussean. He was an instructor of bands.

Resided in 1892 at Essex Junction, Jerico, Vermont. He was a farmer.

Resided in 1892 at Burlington, Vt. He was a manufacturer of chairs at Burlington, Vt.

SML Comment: Fayette's birthplace as published is in error. The 1900 and 1910 censuses give his birthplace as Wisconsin, naming his children (not named in book) as Ina R., Rena C., Grace A., Raymond P. and Hiram H.  The birthplace error was brought to attention by Tom Cooper, who writes that "Fayette Lafayette Davis was named for the city and county in which he was born on September 27, 1855," Fayette, LaFayette Co., WI.
