1340. Luther Ray Johnson (Charles8, Calvin7, Richard6, Richard5, Joseph4, Isaac3, Isaac2, John1). Born Hardwick, Vt., on 10 Oct 1846. Died Pagosa Springs, Colo., on 7 Nov 1933. Buried Hilltop Cemetery, Pagosa Springs, Colo.

He moved to Kansas when a young man. They lived at Pagosa Springs, Colo. after 1910. He was a farmer. He saw service in the Civil War as a member of Co. I, 8th Vermont Cavalry.

He married Indiana Beals, daughter of Philip Beals & Nancy Harding, on 29 Jan 1885 in Clay Center or Miltonvale, Kansas. Born Hillsborough, Ind., on 25 May 1868.

In 1941, she was still living at Pagosa Springs, Colo.

She married Bradley Houghton, son of Bradley Houghton & Lucy Adams, on 2 Jan 1871 in Marlboro, Vt. Born Marlboro, Vt.

He was a member of Co. I, 8th Vermont Cavalry in the Civil War.
