Resided at Chester, Vt. and Massena, N.Y., where their children were born. Later removed to Alamo, Kalamazoo County, Mich.

He married Sarah Johnson (998) , daughter of Edward Johnson (514) & Jane Miller. Born in 1802.

They had the following children:
i.  Adaline. Born in 1824.
ii.  John. Born in 1828.
iii.  Thomas L.. Born in 1832.
iv.  Charles. Born in 1834.
v.  Mary. Born in 1837.
vi.  Ira. Born in 1839.

1186. Foster Johnson (John7, David6, David5, Joseph4, Nathaniel3, Humphrey2, John1). Born Chester, Vt., in 1801.

They resided in Alamo, Mich., but their children were born in N.Y.

He married Laura Earle.

They had the following children:
i.  Laura Louisa. Born N.Y. State, in 1832.

She first married Foster Montague, son of Timothy Montague & Mindwell Chapin, in Massena, N.Y. Born South Hadley, Mass., on 28 Jun 1810. Died on 25 Aug 1850.

They had one child:
i.  Matilda. Born in 1835.

She second married Ephraim Briggs Delano, on 20 Feb 1852 in Alamo, Mich. Died Cooper, Mich., on 27 Jul 1871.

Of Cooper, Mich.

1188. Lydia B. S. Johnson (John7, David6, David5, Joseph4, Nathaniel3, Humphrey2, John1). Born Chester, Vt., in 1809. Died on 6 Jul 1890.

Resided at Norfolk, N.Y.

She married Joel Farnsworth. Died on 12 Dec 1888.

They had the following children:
i.  Silas J.. Born in 1828.
ii.  Joel Leland. Born in 1831.
Went to California and never afterwards heard from.

iii.  Alonzo L.. Born in 1833. Died on 2 Jun 1855.
