SML Comment: The CAPTAIN JOHN JOHNSON GENEALOGY, p. 234, states that Luther Johnson married first Solome Webster, as noted. However, in Apr 2004, Jill Rains, 4-great granddaughter of Luther and Abigail, writes that "there were 2 Luther Johnsons. One married Abigail (Nabby) Pierce and the other married Salome Webster. In the 1880 census you can find both of them listed, one in Plymouth, VT and the other (mine) in Ludlow, VT. My Luther Johnson is the one who married Nabby Pierce.... I know that Luther and Abigail were the parents of the children listed because of cemetery records." He married Abigail Pierce, daughter of Ephraim Pierce. Born in 1804. Died Ludlow, Vt., on 17 May 1871.

He second married Euridyce Boynton, daughter of Amos Boynton & Mary Parker, on 3 Jun 1840. Born on 21 Apr 1819. Died on 2 Oct 1905.
