He married Helen Smith, daughter of Truman Smith & Ruth Bailey, on 2 Dec 1850. Born on 22 Sep 1827. Died on 28 Jun 1916.

They had the following children:
i.  Frank Leonard. Born West Springfield, now Agawam, Mass., on 22 Apr 1852. Died Washington, D.C., on 14 Jun 1936. Buried Johnson Cemetery, Feeding Hills, Mass.
He compiled the larger part of the on the first eight generations of this genealogy. For forty years he collected town records, and the many notebooks containing them are deposited with the New England Genealogical and Historical Library in Boston. Book preface has further details. Died of heart attack. No children

He married Harriett Louisa Andrews, daughter of George Lorenzo Andrews & Fanny Smith, on 10 Aug 1917. Born on 31 May 1856. Died West Suffield, Conn., on 17 Aug 1921. Buried Springfield St. Cemetery, Feeding Hills, Mass.

He first married Ruth Ann Smith, daughter of Orson Smith & Mary Dewey, on 19 Apr 1849. Born on 17 Mar 1829. Died on 3 Dec 1874.
