He was a Drum Major in the Revolution.

He married Lucy Atkins, daughter of Thomas Atkins & Martha Miller, on 11 Oct 1773. Born on 28 Apr 1752. Died on 23 Nov 1833.

Lucy was married second in 1795 to Jesse Coe, and their son Jesse was born June 26, 1796.

They had the following children:
i.  James Russell. Born on 7 Aug 1774. Died on 28 Aug 1775.
ii.  Samuel. Born on 8 Oct 1776. Died Savannah, Ga., in 1801.
iii.  Matthew. Born on 4 Jan 1779. Died on 6 May 1787.
iv.  Lucy. Born on 28 Nov 1782. Died on 1 Sep 1788.
v.  Jeremiah Wadsworth. Born on 13 May 1784. Died N.Y. City, in 1867.

SML Comment: No children identified, but she may have been mother of one or more of the younger children of Noadiah Rockwell.

She married Noadiah Rockwell, son of Noadiah Rockwell & Alice Hall, in Sep 1831. Born on 25 Aug 1783. Died on 22 Aug 1841.
