157. Elihu Johnson (David4, John3, Humphrey2, John1). Born on 22 May 1737. Died Tolland, Conn., on 18 Aug 1817.

Resided at Tolland, Conn. He served in the Indian and Revolutionary Wars.

He married Sarah Webb, on 23 Jun 1762.

Widow of Mr. Converse.

They had the following children:

vi.  Guy. Born on 14 May 1775. Died Wilbraham in 1800. Drowned.
SML Comment: The History of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, by Chauncey E. Peck (1913), pages 171-80, relates the "Tragedy at Nine Mile Pond." Guy Johnson was visiting in Wilbraham on 29 Apr 1799 when he and five other young people from the town were drowned in Nine Mile Pond when the boat in which they were sailing overturned and sank in heavy winds. The bodies of Guy Johnson, Gordon Bliss, Leonard Bliss, Miss Asenath Bliss and Miss Mary Warriner were soon recovered and buried on 2 May, with Miss Nabby Merrick recovered on 15 May. - Information from Linda Talbott, Aug 2006.

He was a soldier in the Revolution 1775. Resided at Tolland and Chesterfield, N.H.

He married Anna. Born abt 1749. Died Chesterfield, N.H., on 14 Sep 1789.

They had one child:
i.  Nancy. Born Tolland, Conn., on 11 Jun 1772.

160. Elijah Johnson (David4, John3, Humphrey2, John1). Born in 1757. Died Grantham, N.H., on 12 Aug 1832.

Died at age 75 yrs. He served six different enlistments in the Revolution from 1775 to 1780.

He married Sarah. Born abt 1757. Died Grantham, N.H., on 10 Sep 1836.

Died at age 79 yrs.

They had the following children:

He married Mary Quimby, on 20 Mar 1817.
