He was chosen 1st Major for Plymouth County.

He purchased land in Rehoboth, Mass. in 1756, which he sold in 1765. He went to Brookfield and his sons Willis and Daniel to Westmoreland, N.H.

He first married Susanna Willis, daughter of John Willis Esq. & Patience Hayward, on 26 May 1743. Born on 26 Jan 1723. Died on 6 Aug 1750.

She married Robert Latham, son of Chilton Latham & Susanna Kingman, on 12 Jun 1751. Born on 16 Aug 1711. Died on 9 Dec 1788.

She married Joseph Packard, son of Joseph Packard & Mary Willis, on 27 Dec 1748. Died Easton.

He was a soldier in 1755 under General Winslow.

She married Ezra Edson, son of Samuel Edson & Mary Dean, on 18 Nov 1756. Born on 28 Jul 1730. Died on 19 Feb 1794.

They had the following children:

		i.	Robert. Born on 25 Jul 1757. He married Mary Hayward, on 6 Jun 1782.
		ii.	Ezra. Born on 13 Jan 1759.
