New Mexico Pioneers

Totah Tracers Genealogical Society of Farmington, New Mexico issued Pioneer Certificates to direct descendants of early settlers in honor of the 75th Anniversay of New Mexico statehood (1912-1987). Many of these pioneers have gone unnoticed in history, so this is a way to gather information about them. Eventually the information submitted will be published in book form. In addition to receiving a pioneer certificate, applicants will be helping to preserve the history of ancestral pioneers.

ELIGIBILITY:

To qualify for a pioneer certificate, the applicant must prove direct descent from a person who was in the New Mexico Territory prior to statehood in 1912.
