MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Any man or woman at least 18 years of age, of good moral character and reputation, who is descended in the male or female line from either parent, from an ancestor who resided in any of the Colonies now included in The United States of America for a period of at least two consecutive years during the period from the first Colonial settlement at Jamestown, May 13, 1607 and then through all the other Colonies to December 31, 1675.
For information please contact:
America's First Families - For contact information try The Hereditary Society Community.
A tentative, unofficial and probably incomplete list of qualifying ancestors for America's First Families from Freeman Family Lines would include about 60 couples who settled in New England prior to 1676 and about 20 couples who settle in the southern states prior to 1676. The list is too numerous to maintain here, but many are included in the site Surnames.
