Theodore Lawson
THEODORE LAWSON Theodore "Ted" Philip Lawson, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010. Born Oct. 11, 1925 in Seattle, to James and Phillipa Lawson, Ted was raised in Claremore, Okla. He moved to California, where he met and married Esther Cunha in 1945. The devoted couple made their home in Orange County, Calif., before relocating to Las Vegas in 1995. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Ted later was a 37-year employee of Kwikset Locksets in Anaheim, Calif., where he worked as an industrial engineer. In his leisure time, he served on various church committees and as a volunteer for Valley Hospital. He also enjoyed golf, gardening, bowling and travel. Ted is survived by his wife, Esther and three children, Steven Lawson (Linda) of Rancho Mirage, Calif., Timothy Lawson of Las Vegas, and Susan Sanders (Burt) of Las Vegas. He also is survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters and their families. Ted was predeceased last year by his oldest son, Michael Lawson (Susan) of Placentia, Calif. A memorial celebration of life service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Road, Las Vegas, with Pastor Bill Phillips officiating.

Mystery Photos

Both of these photos are a bit of a mystery. On the left are Jim and
Clyde with three children - but are the children girls, boys or a mix?
The picture is dated "Apr 1 - 30," which likely means 1930. If so,
Clyde's youngest would be 7 and Jim's youngest would be 2. So....

No date is given for the picture on the right, but the back includes:
"Clyde, Jr. and Jim (Uncle)." Clyde, Jr. was born in 1917 and appears
near age 20 - but "Uncle Jim" was married and living in Seattle in
the mid 1930's. Anyway, it doesn't look like "Uncle Jim" to me....
